André is an architect and political economy researcher based in Melbourne, Australia. Currently studying public policy at University of Melbourne, he applies a public-interest lens to economic and policy challenges. Through his role as a delegate and founder of the charity Kaitzak, André supports global diaspora initiatives that strengthen community well-being.
In parallel with his professional practice, André is the founder of the Australian charity Kaitzak with his wife, Mariam Vahradyan. Kaitzak is a global diaspora platform dedicated to cultural preservation, education, and community well-being. Through Kaitzak, he leads research-informed initiatives, public programs, and cross-cultural collaborations across Australia and the globe.
Scholarship & Policy
André is currently completing a Master of Public Policy and Management at the University of Melbourne, where his academic work focuses on political economy, governance, and networked power across public, private, and civic sectors.
Community Service
André serves as a delegate across borders, contributing to dialogue between diaspora communities and state institutions. His work in this capacity centers on representation, long-term development thinking, and strengthening transnational civic engagement.
Professional Practice
Alongside his research and public work, André runs an architectural practice (SDCW) specialising in residential and childcare projects, integrating design expertise with policy awareness for positive community outcomes.
